GIVING UP YOUR PET
Here at DBARC we understand that sometimes there are unavoidable reasons for people to give up their pets for rehoming.
This could be due to a family bereavement or the owner’s ill health or a myriad of other reasons.
We may be able to help, but please bear in mind that this may not be immediate as we have limited accommodation at the Centre and cannot accept animals unless we have adequate, safe and comfortable facilities to care for them properly.
We can never accept animals for rehoming without a prior appointment and completion of our acceptance procedures.
If you are seeking to rehome a pet, please try to plan as far ahead as possible to ensure the welfare of your pet, and your peace of mind.
If you would like our help, please contact us in the first instance either by emailing us at dbarc2020@yahoo.com or by phone during office hours, but please understand that animal care always takes priority over answering phone calls.
Please be aware that our acceptance process will include enquiries about the health and history of your pet.
We are dedicated to the welfare and happiness of the animals in our care and work hard to ensure they find permanent, loving homes, so if you are no longer able to care for your pet and need our help, please work with us to ensure a happy outcome.
