ARLO
Please read our Homing Criteria BEFORE applying for any of our dogs.
BREED: Collie Cross Labrador
SEX: Male
AGE: Aprox. 4-5 Months
SIZE: Will be Medium/Large when adult
Arlo is one of a pair of accidentally bred puppies who were handed into rescue when their "breeder" was unable to find homes for them. He is a really cute and very friendly little pup, and although his life was unplanned, he has been very well reared and well socialised thus far, so is now ready to go bouncing into a new home! He is quite a high energy puppy and likely to grow into a lively and intelligent dog, so new owners are going to need to be ready to immediately get going with teaching this bright youngster all about life, and dog training classes as well as normal domestic training and socialising will be absolutely essential.
Puppies are a lot of hard work - housetraining, training, socialising ..... their futures are in your hands so it is important to be honest with yourself to ensure you have the time and knowledge to put the work into these little souls. Taking on a puppy is so exciting, but it’s also a huge responsibility – for both you and your family. After all, the puppy will quickly grow into an adult dog and may be with you for 15 years or more. Before taking on a puppy, it's sensible to think about the long-term commitment you are making.
A puppy will become a new family member, and they will be completely dependent on you to meet all of their essential needs in order for them to be happy, fit and healthy. This will include good nutrition, veterinary care, socialisation, training and regular exercise. If raised in the right way, a new puppy will make a wonderful companion, but you have to put the time and effort in.
If you really think you have what it takes to be a good parent to one of our special babies, fill in an application form and we will be in touch.
Please fill in our Application Form if you are interested in adopting this dog
(If the animal’s name does not appear in the drop down box on the form - it means the animal is already reserved)
